Hoffman Japan Hana Nishimura

Account Executive

Q: What did you do before joining Hoffman?

Before I joined Hoffman, I was involved in a wide range of marketing activities for a French manufacturer specializing in industrial automation. My experience spanned Employer Branding within HR, Offer Marketing in the Development team, and both Offer Marketing and Channel Marketing within the Sales organization. Notably, The Channel Marketing work covered e-commerce, campaign planning, and joint promotional initiatives with distributors.

Q: What inspired you to join Hoffman?

One of the main reasons I applied was the chance to support communications for IT companies. I was also interested in using my English skills day-to-day, since many of the agency's clients are global companies. Also, through the interview process, I met people who were friendly and approachable, which ultimately led me to join the company.

Q: Can you tell us about your current role and responsibilities?

I currently work as an Account Executive, supporting clients across areas like digital marketing, cybersecurity, and Physical AI. My work ranges from translating press releases and planning byline articles to pitching employee interviews to the media, along with media outreach and on-site support for events like press briefings.

Q: What has been the most rewarding part of working at Hoffman?

I really appreciate the close-knit atmosphere that comes with being on a small team, where everyone is proactive and gets things done efficiently. I also value the level of autonomy I have; my managers and team leaders give me the freedom to decide how to approach my work and develop proposals for clients, which lets me think independently and take initiative.

Q: What aspects of Hoffman make it a great place to work as a working mother?

I currently work 9 to 5. Employees on shortened hours are expected to come into the office at least once a week, but we can work remotely in certain situations, for example when my child was often getting sick during the first few months after starting daycare. Being able to flexibly adjust my working arrangements during that time was a great help.

Q: How do you balance your career and family life?

I maintain a balance between work and childcare by making use of remote work and flexible working arrangements. Being able to adjust when and where I work around my child's schedule lets me stay focused on my job while also making time for my family.

Q: What are your future career goals or aspirations?

Going forward, I'd like to further deepen my expertise in my current role. I also want to build on my experience by actively picking up new knowledge and skills, so I can bring even greater value to our clients and team. Additionally, I'd like to help create an environment where each team member can make the most of their strengths, and support the growth of junior colleagues.

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

On weekends, I usually enjoy relaxed time with my family, like going to the park with my child or enjoying good food together. It's an important time for me to recharge and get ready for the week ahead. That said, since my child is still young, weekends can sometimes leave me even more tired! Although, I don't have much time for hobbies right now since I'm focused on raising my child, in

the future I’d love for us to travel to different places together as a family.

Q: Do you have a message for those who are considering joining Hoffman?

If you're looking to use your English skills at work and have an interest in the tech industry, I'd definitely encourage you to apply. The tech industry is constantly evolving, so there are always new things to learn. It would be great to work alongside people who are curious and eager to take on new challenges. Looking forward to working with you!
