Why We're Looking to Hire

Topline brief is that we’re growing across Europe, and the type of work we’re delivering is transforming. Yes, ‘traditional PR’ (media relations) still plays a role, but increasingly we’re about delivering content-focused marketing campaigns for our clients.

Year-on-year growth for the fourth year running has seen us double our headcount in 2022; open new, bigger offices in central London; retain over 90% of our clients; retain over 90% of our team; and enhance our benefits and cultural packages. The work involves strategy and creative (so really getting under the skin of our clients and their customers to develop creative campaign ideas), commissioning and managing original research, content creation/copywriting, management of the design process (whether handled by internal teams or freelancers), etc. It’s both mentally stimulating and creatively rewarding work, and suits people who are agile enough to deliver in both areas (as well as turn out exemplary content and copy).

What We're Looking For

UK management role

  • We need someone to come in as a member of the UK senior management team (although it’s important to note that 80% of our clients have some kind of international remit, so the successful candidate would be working on European, Global, and pan-Atlantic clients).
  • Management duties involve resourcing, talent development, hiring, new business (both reactive, but also proactive and networking), involvement in agency marketing initiatives, identifying organic growth, line management, training.

Client handling

  • This person must be a great team leader and inspire the junior team. They must be confident, smart thinking, strategic, and able to really understand a client and what they need from PR / comms. They should be a trusted pair of hands.

Skills

  • Creative and strategic thinking is a must. We need someone who can ask the questions that uncover what a client truly needs and – if it differs from a proposed SoW – have the confidence to challenge a brief and secure a smarter way to achieve client goals.
  • Media relations is important, so good contacts in the B2B tech, vertical, and trade media is a must – this person should empower the junior team to build their own network and support them in doing so (while continuing to build out their own network too).
  • Content is a major part of our scopes, so high quality writing is essential. A solid understanding of integrated campaigns and strategies is needed to bring truly smart marketing and comms strategies to life.
