Hoffman Helps Connex ProSight Brand Soar to New Heights in Drone Racing
Client Amimon chose The Hoffman Agency to help it enter the exciting, fast-growing and sometimes wacky market called drone racing. The company develops the only all digital HD wireless vision system — the Connex ProSight — for the tiny gadgets that can fly up to 100 kph.
The Amimon technology is truly game-changing compared to analog technology. In fact, many believe innovations like the one from Amimon are key to taking the sport mainstream. Our communications campaign supports the company in a number of ways ranging from traditional PR to social media to leveraging tracing events. From a geographic perspective, the campaign covers the U.S. and Europe.
While early days in the fledgling sport, drone racing events are already attracting audiences, among them journalists. Supporting Amimon at The Drone Nationals in New York City — broadcast on ESPN — netted coverage in a Quartz feature story.
More recently, we supported the Paris Drone Festival.

The Champs Elysees was abuzz when the budding sport of FPV (first person view) drone racing overtook the most famous avenue in the world. A crowd of more than 100,000 attending the first annual Paris Drone Festival saw first-hand the technology that’s transforming this from a geeky hobby to a mainstream spectator sport; the media labelled it the Formula One of the air.
Amimon and its drone racing brand Connex ProSight, a headline sponsor of the event, powered these incredible flying machines with the most super-clear, latency-free HD video ever seen. With video-game-like quality, ProSight gave the field of eight of the world’s top drone pilots more precision and consistency flying at speeds of more than 100 kph, when every detail counts. And spectators got a chance to experience the thrill of FPV flying thanks to the HD feed that was displayed on the large projection screens around the course.
We’re enjoying the challenge of building a brand in an emerging market.
