Hoffman Europe recently received a prestigious SABRE industry award for the best B2B campaign in the industrial and manufacturing sector, winning out over four European agencies on the short list. The strategy behind Hoffman Europes campaign, titled Building a Moat Around Sarantel, was to use PR to differentiate the companys premium, high-performance GPS antenna the Sarantel LBS Pro from commodity offers to influence handset manufacturers and mobile
operators.
The team achieved its goal by educating press and analysts in the UK, Germany, Sweden and Finland who specifically covered mobile GPS and location-based services through face-to-face briefings and multimedia content. In total, 160 articles covered the launch of the antenna, and the company was named as one of five Cool Vendors in Gartners Mobile and Wireless 2009 report.
