Global Reach

We cracked the prestigious PR Week Global 25 last year.

More than the numbers, the recognition affirms our unique approach to executing multi-country PR programs.

Virtually all PR agencies get the importance of global PR.

But “getting it” and doing something about it are two different things.

The Hoffman Agency has been developing and executing global PR programs since 1994. Today, we operate offices in Germany, the UK, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and the U.S.

But the “dots on the map” don’t reveal what’s at the heart of our global success.

Unlike the typical mega agencies, which operate in silos, our organization has been built from the ground up to specialize in multi-country programs. By creating a culture, infrastructure and processes that emphasize collaboration across countries, our people truly work together as a virtual team.

The end result — content is leveraged, knowledge is shared and everyone is on the same page.

To the same end, we don't lose sight of the people side. Specifically, we’ve established programs that enable employees to know each other regardless of geographic location.

With a global mentality that’s part of our DNA, we recognize every country incorporates unique characteristics that must be accounted for in a global PR program.

Take the second largest economy in the world, Japan. Borrowing an example from the consumer field, consider that Coke sells the conventional 12-ounce can as well as a cylinder-like 10-ounce can in the Japanese market for exactly the same price. The 10-ounce can outsells its chubby brother because the Japanese are more conscious of waste. Plus, the can fits better into the smaller Japanese refrigerator. Not a natural concept to the American mind, paying more money for the exact same product.

The point is, a global PR program must be planned with these differences in mind, and American biases pushed aside.

This type of thinking comes naturally to us.
